DFS - Rocks

Just finished configuring DFS (Distributed File System) on our public Windows 2003 domain. All in all, the process of creating the DFS namespace and setting up the replication for the 10 participating file servers was a fairly simple and straightforward one -- uncommon for MS products. Now all that is left to do, is deliver the units to our branch libraries.

For more information of DFS see:http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver/en/library/b3754814-f865-4200-9ae9-66785e5e87c81033.mspx?mfr=true

Library Electronic Services - Welcome

Welcome to my Library Electronic Services blog which has been formed as part of the requirements for the FIS 1311 - Information Technology course offered at the Faculty of Information Studies at the University of Toronto.

This blog will provide both some usefull information for those working in library I.T. departments as well as recount some of the many amusing anecdotes that we all experience.
